Overview
In this role you will set the technical and organizational direction for the Consumer domain, leading 3 teams (via 3 Engineering Managers and a Staff Engineer) comprising 15–25 engineers. You will coach managers, translate product goals into a clear technical roadmap, and drive cross-domain collaboration and architectural decisions. You will partner with Product leadership and senior engineers to ensure reliable, scalable delivery in a regulated fintech context. You'll report to senior leadership, communicating risks and progress in business terms. This is an opportunity to shape a high-impact platform used by millions of users.

Responsabilità
- Lead and grow the Consumer domain with direct oversight of multiple teams and engineers
- Coach and develop reporting managers, set performance alignment, and identify growth opportunities
- Translate product and business goals into a technical roadmap across teams and manage cross-team dependencies
- Collaborate with Product leadership and peer engineers to define engineering standards
- Communicate domain progress, risks, and blockers to senior leadership in clear business terms
- Provide architectural guidance across PostgreSQL, Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Datadog to ensure sound decisions
Requisiti fondamentali
- 8+ years in backend engineering
- 4+ years managing engineers including managers
- strong empathy and coaching skills with track record of developing engineers and managers
- distributed systems and API design expertise
- experience delivering complex, cross-team initiatives using Agile
- fluency in English and ability to engage with stakeholders and leadership
- genuine interest in fintech and investment products in a regulated environment
