Thanks to our diversity of skills, talents and cultures, our customers (governments, institutions, space agencies, telecommunications operators), therefore have Space to Connect, Secure & Defend, Observe & Protect, Explore, Travel & Navigate.We are looking for aPower Subsystem Engineer.ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed analyses on power sources (solar array, battery or DC power from other modules) to assess the correctness of sizing considering age and degradation due to single failure and compute relevant performance evaluation.Define power system architecture from received requirements from source to users.Define performance, interface and test requirements for the power system, power sources, and users.Specify and review technical documentation as Subsystem/Unit like applicable standards technical specification, Technical Notes/Analysis, Test Specification and report.Manage and/or participate to technical meetings with subcontractor and/or clients.Participate to design review with customers and supplier as needed.Support failure analysis and support in solution identifications during the unit development and subsystem / Spacecraft integration phases.QualificationsMaster Degree in Electronics or Aerospace engineering or equivalent with Power specialization.At least 5 years of experience in at least one of the following areas:Design of Power unit or electronic unit for power regulation.System or subsystem power architect.Deep knowledge of:MS Office package (Word, Excel, Access)scientific tools and SW like Matlab/Simulink, Math Cad, Visual Basic.Knowledge of English is mandatory.Available for short business trips in Italy or abroad.Additional InformationAt Thales Alenia Space we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
