As we prepare to open our doors, we are seeking aDirector of Financeto join thepre-opening leadership team —a disciplined, trusted partner who will build the financial foundations of the hotel with elegance, rigour, and absolute integrity.The RoleThe Director of Finance will lead all financial strategy and operations for Baccarat Hotel Rome, from pre-opening through stabilisation and ongoing. You will establish controls, systems, and reporting that support performance without compromising the guest experience. This role requires a confident leader with exceptional technical capability, sound commercial judgement, and a strong understanding ofItalian statutory requirements, local laws, and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the hotel'spre-opening finance set-up , including systems implementation, policies, procedures, and internal controls.Overseebudgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning , partnering closely with the General Manager and executive team.Ensure full compliance withItalian accounting standards, tax requirements, labour regulations, and statutory reporting.Managecash flow, treasury, and banking relationships , ensuring appropriate controls and approvals are in place.Overseemonth-end and year-end close , financial statements, variance analysis, and executive reporting.DirectAP/AR, purchasing controls, inventory management, cost control , and auditing processes.Partner with operations to optimiserevenue flow-through, cost of sales, payroll , and departmental productivity.Lead the finance team with a high standard of professionalism, discretion, and service.Support external relationships includingauditors, tax advisors, regulators, and ownership representatives.What We're Looking ForSignificant senior finance leadership experience withinluxury hospitality ; experience in luxury or lifestyle hotels is strongly valued.Demonstratedpre-opening experience —you understand the discipline required to open well and operate beautifully.Strong working knowledge ofItalian laws and regulationsrelevant to hotel operations, including statutory accounting, tax, payroll, and compliance obligations.Exceptional command ofhotel P&L , budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, with a commercial mindset and operational fluency.Experience establishing and maintaining robustinternal controlsand audit readiness in a premium environment.Clear communicator and collaborative business partner—able to influence across departments with calm authority.High standards, absolute discretion, and a leadership style aligned with Baccarat: refined, precise, and quietly confident.Why Baccarat Hotel RomeThis is an opportunity to shape a hotel from its earliest decisions—building a finance function that is as polished as the guest experience it supports.
