Hyatt Thompson Rome is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Commis de Rang to join our Food & Beverage team.This role is ideal for a motivated hospitality professional eager to grow within a luxury lifestyle environment, supporting service operations while delivering warm, attentive, and high-quality guest experiences. The Commis de Rang works closely with the Chef de Rang and service team to ensure smooth operations and consistent service standards across all outlets.Key ResponsibilitiesService OperationsSupport breakfast, lunch, and dinner service in assigned outletsAssist in seating guests, taking orders, and serving food and beverages according to established service sequences and proceduresPresent menus, answer guest inquiries, and provide basic recommendations on food and beveragesClear and reset tables and service areas efficiently during and after serviceEnsure mise en place, cleanliness, and readiness of the service stationGuest ExperienceMaintain positive and professional interactions with guests and colleaguesDeliver friendly, attentive, and service-oriented experiences in line with Hyatt brand standardsSupport special events and high-volume service periods as requiredContribute to guest satisfaction through attention to detail and teamworkStandards & ComplianceAdhere to hygiene, safety, and service standards at all timesEnsure proper personal presentation and grooming in line with hotel policiesBe familiar with the Micros system and support its correct use during serviceDemonstrate knowledge of menu items and assist with upselling under supervisionCandidate ProfileMinimum of 1–2 years of experience in a hotel or quality restaurant environmentStrong interest in Food & Beverage service and lifestyle hospitalityExcellent personal presentation and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure while maintaining composureTeam-oriented, reliable, and eager to learnFluent in Italian and English; knowledge of French is a plusWhat You Will DoReporting to the Maître, you will support daily outlet operations with energy and professionalism, contributing to exceptional service delivery and memorable guest experiences while developing your skills within a structured luxury hospitality environment.
