About the jobWe are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our core products international software development team.Responsibilities:Partner with product leads and designers to develop reliable and well tested backend softwareDesign and implementation of new GeoServer/GeoTools featuresPerformance of day-by-day bug fixingMinimum qualifications:3+ years of experienceGood knowledge of Java EnterpriseGood Knowledge of Spring FrameworkGood knowledge of relational databases, PostgreSQL is a must, Oracle a plusAbility to adapt and learn new skills quicklyBeing fluent in English, both written and spoken.Preferred qualifications:Experience in designing and implementing scalable systems for highly concurrent loadsKnowledge of distributed systems and related key technologies is a plus (e.g. Kafka)Knowledge of GeoServer and GeoTools is a plusMore on qualifications:You are comfortable working independently, while functioning as part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, dialogue, development, learning, and growth.You care about solving big, systemic problems. You look beyond the surface to understand root causes so that you can build long-term solutions for the whole ecosystem.You are a person open to developing new ideas and contributing expertise, who enjoys challenges, seeks knowledge, and are a team builder.You can analyze product requirements, manage tasks and partner with your teammates to meet the deadlines.We offer a variety of contracts but, please, note that our intention is to establish a long-term relationship. We are a remote first company, however the ideal candidate should work from a time zone between GMT and GMT+2.Relocation is not requested and as such we are not envisioning any relocation support package.Notice that due to the high volume of applications, only those candidates that meet the required criteria for selection will be contacted.During the interview process we are going to ask the candidate to solve some simple exercise to demonstrate your skills and capabilities.
