We were meant to fly.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities Within the Avio Aero's Supply Chain team, the Casting buyer will:Manage the sourcing process, from evaluation of requestor's requirements to PO placement for a specific set of GoodsManage vendor tooling, including spending authorizations, refurbishment and replacement needs, monitoring plans for the construction of new tooling, and the status of existing tooling for a specific set of GoodsUnderstand the Castings Commodity needs based on Commodity Strategy in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing team and Casting Technical ExpertSupport the strategy definition and execution for the specific set of goods within the Casting Commodity, including de-risking activities.Manage Supplier with the aim to strength relationship with strategic suppliers and create action plan for critical suppliers, in collaboration with strategic teamPerform spent analysis for the given set of goods within Castings commodity and with reference to the Budget and Long Range Forecast goals (including deflation, costout, days to pay)Apply cost and price analysis techniques, using available expertise from supporting organizationsNegotiate PO, following applicable company and government regulationsNegotiate development and purchase long term contracts, following applicable delegation of authority, company and government regulations, maintaining accurate records of the agreements, and related documentationBalance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projectsWork in collaboration with Supplier Quality Teams and Procurement team to meet established goal of OTD, delinquency and vendor recovery, applying LEAN method to problem solvingIn doing so, it will be mandatory for you to maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with supply base and internal customers.Qualifications/RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited university or collegeFluent in Italian and EnglishExperience in previous sourcing or supply chain roleProven analytical and problem solving skills, with sound judgment and a diplomatic attitudeAbility to communicate effectively in oral and written formAbility to handle several activities simultaneously, manage multiple priorities and resolve appropriatelyProfessional working knowledge of SAP MRP software systemProficient in MS Office (e.g. Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, Word)Highly motivated team memberProactivity, Customer orientation, initiative, autonomyAvailability to travel (around 20%)Work Visa in accordance with local regulation is requiredDesired characteristicsKnowledge of current market conditions and sources of supplyKnowledge of castings processes and tooling managementNegotiation skillsPositive working attitude and proven understanding of how to be an effective service provider within an organizationEffective problem identification and solution skillWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
