We were meant to fly.As a Combustion Module Owner within the Campania Engineering Center organization at Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business unit, you will have the prime responsibility for the coordination of development projects for New Product Introduction and Future of Flight programs with specific focus on Combustion and Exhaust Modules.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesTechnical Reference within the engineering organization for all the engineering activities relevant to the assigned ModuleDrive the program through Engineering process, ensuring full respect of the objectives of performance, costs, schedule and qualityFocused on team engagement, problem solving, technical guidance and supportProactively contribute to the Operative plan definition and budgeting forecasting processIssue the technical documents relative to the components evolutions and the specifications towards suppliersPrepare and monitor the overall actions and milestones in line with the Operative planOrganize and manage all the technical reviews according to the plan assuring the attendance of the proper Reviewers; monitor closure of all the relevant action itemsCollaborate with GSC to assure hardware availability in time to support program needsEfficient communicate with the team to improve collaboration and eliminate waste. Share information and promote open dialogueAssure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and proceduresQualifications/RequirementsEngineering Master degree - Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferredPrevious proven and consistent experience in an engineering design teamFluent written and spoken Italian and EnglishClear thinking and diligent approachSelf-directed and motivatedWork Visa, according to local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsPrevious experience in Turbine Aero-engines design is considered a plusSolid background in either mechanical and/or aerothermal designCreativity, curiosity and passion for technical challengeStrong interpersonal and communication skillsEffective problem solving skillsSystem and open mindset, clear thinkingAbility to handle complex problems using high level of judgement to make decisionsAbility to offer new solutions outside of set parameters by using multiple internal and external sources to help arrive to a decisionCapable to work in multicultural environment, preferable previous international experienceWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
