As GM&F Buyer you will support the buying process for a given set of direct suppliers. In this role you will apply sourcing policy, interface between suppliers and requestors with respect to specifications and budget.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesTake part in sourcing processes, from evaluation of requestor's requirements to PO placementDevelop the understanding of concepts, methods and procedures to enable sourcing executionMeet day-to-day short term objective and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planningEvaluate the best efficiency for procured goods and services, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needsEvaluate current requirements, determine potential sources, prepare tendersSolicit and evaluate proposalsApply cost and price analysis techniques, using available expertise from supporting organizationsTake part in negotiations PO and/or purchase contracts, following applicable company and government regulationsGive your contribution in strategic initiatives necessary to reduce costsWork on assigned commodities to meet the requirements of GE AerospaceQualification/RequirementsMaster's Degree in a technical field, preferably in EngineeringProficient in Italian and English, both written and spokenAbility to communicate effectively in oral and written formAbility to handle several activities simultaneously, manage multiple priorities and resolve appropriatelyProficient in MS Office (e.g. Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, Word)Proactive, fast learner and curiousWillingness to travel (e.g. suppliers abroad)Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsWorking knowledge of SAP MRP software systemFamiliarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)Knowledge of current market conditions, pricing and sources of supplyAbility to handle issues around cost increases and how to mitigate themEffective problem identification and solution skillHigh team-working skillsWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes hybrid work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
