Junior Accountant

The company is an international freight forwarding company looking for a Junior Accountant to join our growing team in Genoa, Italy.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their accounting career to gain hands-on experience in an international environment while working alongside experienced finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily accounting and financial transactions.
• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end closing activities.
• Help prepare financial reports and basic management reporting.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job costing.
• Assist with VAT filings and other statutory requirements.
• Prepare documentation for audits and internal reporting.
• Work closely with internal teams, customers, vendors, and banks.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently completing one).
• Up to 2 years of accounting experience, including internships.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good Excel and MS Office skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Good command of English.
• Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
