Key Responsibilities:
- Able to perform preparation works, paying out, jointing, clipping, tensioning, sagging, clamping, spacering, and jumpering for high-voltage transmission lines in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Able to operate and maintain stringing equipment, such as tensioners, pullers, and winches.
- Ensure proper installation of insulator string fittings, conductors, OPGW, and earth wires as per project requirements.
- Work at heights on lattice towers and monopoles.
- Adhere to safety regulations, work procedures, and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
- Familiar with all safety devices like full-body harness, double lanyard, fall protection system, lifelines, discharge wires, and discharge rods.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and engineers to execute work as per project timelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to stringing operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5-6 years of hands-on experience in high-voltage transmission line stringing works.
- Experience in 330kV and above is preferable.
- Fluency in English.
- Familiarity with stringing techniques, tensioning methods, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work at heights and in challenging environments.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and best practices in transmission line construction.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
- Working at Height certification is mandatory.
- Certification in rigging, lifting, or power transmission is an advantage.
- Having relevant City & Guild or any equivalent certification is extremely desirable.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel and work in remote project locations.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
