- Proactively identify, develop, and pursue new Engineered Solutions opportunities across Europe, with a strong focus on winning new business and securing orders.
- Lead strategic sales pursuits from early opportunity identification through contract award.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, EPCs, OEMs, consultants, and key decision-makers.
- Engage customers using a consultative selling approach to understand business challenges, influence project requirements, and position value-added solutions.
- Collaborate with and, when appropriate, provide leadership and direction to in-country sales teams to maximize pursuit effectiveness and drive successful outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional pursuit teams, ensuring alignment between customer needs, commercial strategy, and technical solution development.
- Develop and execute pursuit strategies that improve Emerson's competitive position and increase win rates.
- Identify opportunities within industries such as Oil & Gas, LNG, energy, and other process industries where Engineered Solutions can deliver value.
- Drive opportunity progression, maintaining momentum throughout complex and often lengthy sales cycles.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations, balancing customer requirements with business objectives.
- Maintain accurate opportunity forecasting, pipeline visibility, and pursuit management discipline.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer investment plans to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Emerson's values, ethics, compliance standards, and commitment to integrity.
- Experience in sales, business development, pursuit management, or solution selling within process automation, industrial technology, instrumentation, engineering solutions, or related industries.
- Proven ability to develop new business opportunities and successfully convert opportunities into awarded projects.
- Strong customer-facing sales skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers and large organizations.
- Knowledge of consultative selling methodologies and strategic opportunity management practices.
- Ability to work effectively with EPCs, engineering organizations, OEMs, end users, and other project stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial awareness, including pricing strategies, contract considerations, and business case development.
- Ability to coordinate and influence cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
- Professional proficiency in English and at least one additional European language.
- Willingness to travel throughout Europe, approximately 30% of the time.
- Experience selling Engineered Solutions, packaged systems, integrated cabinet solutions, or project-based automation offerings.
- Familiarity with Measurement Solutions technologies, flow measurement, gas measurement, liquid measurement, custody transfer systems, or related instrumentation solutions.
- Experience leading or coordinating complex sales pursuits involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working with major EPC contractors and large capital project environments.
- Understanding of industries such as Oil & Gas, LNG, petrochemical, refining, energy, or other process industries.
- Experience influencing without formal authority and successfully driving alignment across international teams.
- Technical education or equivalent practical expertise in engineering, automation, instrumentation, or a related field.
Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is 73.500 to 105.000 EUR annual total compensation commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
