We are currently seeking a Market & Power Architectures Product Manager to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy The Market & Power Architectures Product Manager is a strategic product leadership role responsible for shaping the market-driven direction of Large Power Converter architectures and ensuring alignment between customer needs, technology evolution, competitive dynamics, and Vertiv’s long-term portfolio strategy. This role defines the strategic architecture vision, translates market and application insights into investment priorities, and influences roadmap decisions across regions, functions, and customer segments. Acting as the bridge between market strategy, product management, engineering, commercial teams, and executive stakeholders, this position drives portfolio differentiation, growth opportunities, and go-to-market readiness for next-generation power architectures. What kind of work will you be doing?
• Lead the definition of the strategic market and architecture direction for Large Power Converters, translating customer priorities, regional requirements, and industry shifts into clear portfolio choices.
• Anticipate market evolution across data center power architectures, grid interaction, sustainability requirements, standards, hyperscale customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify growth opportunities and portfolio risks.
• Shape product and architecture positioning, value propositions, market model and executive-level narratives that support strategic customer engagements, commercial differentiation, and long-term business development.
• Influence roadmap priorities and investment decisions by partnering with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Service, Tech sales & Business Development, and regional teams to balance customer value, technical feasibility, business impact, and time-to-market.
• Drive portfolio-level competitive benchmarking and architecture comparisons, translating insights into strategic recommendations, battle cards, and differentiation actions.
• Contribute to strategic planning, including portfolio gap assessment, scenario analysis, business case development, revenue assumptions, investment prioritization, and executive decision support.
• Lead cross-functional alignment across Product Lines to ensure product & solution definition, roadmap execution, and market readiness are consistent with strategic priorities.
• Establish and maintain architecture-level thought leadership content, strategic requirement inputs, application guidance, sales enablement assets, and training materials for internal and customer-facing audiences.
• Represent the product architecture strategy in customer workshops, executive reviews, factory visits, strategic opportunity assessments, and regional portfolio discussions.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. What will make you successful? Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Management, Business, or a related technical discipline; Electrical Engineering or advanced technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, portfolio strategy, application engineering, systems engineering, power electronics, UPS, grid-interactive power systems, or data center power infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to convert market intelligence, customer requirements, competitive insights, and technology trends into portfolio strategy, roadmap priorities, and architecture-level recommendations.
• Experience leading global, cross-functional initiatives and supporting senior customer, sales, and executive stakeholder engagements is preferred. Skills & Competencies
• Deep understanding of power architectures, power conversion systems, UPS applications, grid-interactive solutions, and data center infrastructure trends.
• Strategic thinking capability with the ability to connect market dynamics, customer business drivers, architecture choices, technical constraints, and financial outcomes into clear portfolio recommendations.
• Strong analytical capability in market research, competitive intelligence, business case development, scenario planning, investment prioritization, and structured decision-making.
• Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to build compelling narratives for technical, commercial, senior leadership, and customer audiences.
• Proven stakeholder leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to align global and regional teams without direct authority.
• Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, with curiosity for energy transition, sustainability, emerging power technologies, and new business models.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; experience with product lifecycle management, requirements management, financial modeling, or collaboration platforms is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%. • Learn and Seek Out Development The anticipated salary range for this role in Italy is between 53.000€ to 65.000€ gross per year (based on a full-time working week). Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits. Where applicable, a comprehensive overview of the full benefits package and any additional compensation will be provided during the recruitment process in accordance with local legal requirements. Compensation is determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including skills, experience, and job responsibilities.
