Join Johnson Electric in Asti as a Senior Sales Manager and take responsibility for driving sustainable, profitable growth across an assigned business area within our Automotive Products Group in Europe. In this key leadership role, you will shape commercial strategy, expand business with OEM and Tier 1 customers, and lead a team of four sales professionals located in Italy, Germany, and France.
Your responsibilities will be to:
Lead, coach and coordinate a team of four sales professionals located across Europe
Ensure sustainable and profitable growth for the allocated business unit by identifying needs related to new customers, new products, localization and market development
Together with the sales team, manage the existing business profitably, including annual price negotiations, long-term agreements, value analysis/value engineering initiatives, and raw-material and foreign-exchange adjustments
Drive the acquisition of profitable new business with existing and new customers, ensuring that booking targets are achieved
Define the medium
- and long-term commercial strategy together with the Sales Managers, based on customer needs, market pricing, competitors and emerging product trends Lead the budget and sales-planning process, monitor monthly performance against forecast and budget, and ensure that corrective actions are implemented Maintain a reliable and up-to-date business plan and opportunity pipeline in SFDC, including monthly updates Ensure commercial process compliance, including contract reviews, debit and credit notes, price adjustments and quotation processes Our
requirements:
Relevant technical education or professional background, with the ability to understand engineered products, customer applications and technical-commercial trade-offs Significant sales and business-development experience in the automotive industry, ideally in a senior role with OEM and/or Tier 1 customers Established relationships and a strong professional network among European automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers Proven experience in profitable growth, pricing and contract negotiations, new-business acquisition, forecasting, budgeting and pipeline management People-leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a small, geographically dispersed team Fluent English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of German would be a strong advantage Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Europe, typically 40% or more What do
