Painting Technology Methods Engineer

To strengthen our Vehicle Technologies team, we are looking for a Painting Technology Methods Engineer based in Maranello, Italy.
In this role, you will support the feasibility assessment and industrialization of new vehicle projects, including Sport, Pilot, EV, Special Equipment and Tailor Made projects. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help translate design requirements into effective painting processes, contributing from the early development phases through Start of Production while ensuring aesthetic excellence, perceived quality and industrial sustainability. In this position, you will be responsible for:
•    Leading feasibility and industrialization activities for new vehicle projects, translating product requirements into robust, efficient and sustainable painting processes.
•    Analysing vehicle geometries, surfaces, visible areas and process accessibility to anticipate aesthetic risks, paint coverage challenges and paintability improvement opportunities.
•    Partnering with Production, Quality, Product Development, Engineering and Suppliers to develop, optimize and industrialize painting solutions, supporting project objectives through to Start of Production.
•    Evaluating product and process complexity, identifying improvement opportunities to achieve quality, cost, efficiency and performance targets.
•    Coordinating Process FMEA activities, identifying potential risks and promoting preventive actions to strengthen process reliability.
•    Assessing the technical, industrial and economic feasibility of special contents, including Make-or-Buy evaluations when required.
•    Managing personalization and special configuration projects, defining dedicated process requirements, logistics flows and industrial solutions in collaboration with the Special Equipment & Tailor Made Product Development team.
•    Preparing and maintaining manufacturing process cycles for the Painting Technology area, ensuring consistency with quality, cost and timing targets. To succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, together with 4 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position within the automotive, mechanical engineering or advanced manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of automotive technologies and manufacturing processes is required, together with a good understanding of product and process cost drivers.

Ferrari Offers:Compensation Package:The total compensation package, including gross annual salary and company and/or individual variable components, will range between € 53.000 and € 58.000, paid over 13 monthly instalments. Placement within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s professional experience, technical skills, level of autonomy and responsibility.
