Are you ready to turn market intelligence into supply certainty for life-changing medicines? In this pivotal role, you will be the primary link between the Marketing Company, MC, and our global supply engine—aligning commercial ambition with operational reality so patients receive the therapies they need, when they need them. As a demand partner, you will work hand-in-hand with Commercial and Finance to balance demand and supply plans, create pragmatic supply solutions, and challenge forecasts where needed. You will steer the principles of demand management across horizons from launch through 3–5 year planning, driving visibility, accountability, and decisive action that protects patients and accelerates business outcomes.
This role will have geographic responsibility for Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, and Israel, ensuring alignment of commercial and supply plans across these markets.
Accountabilities:
Strategic MC Linkage and Integration: Serve as the primary contact for business strategies impacting supply (e.g., authorized generics and second brands), ensuring Marketing Company needs are represented to supply planning and reflected across product supply initiatives.
Stakeholder Leadership and Influence: Build strong relationships across the Marketing Company at many levels (Brand Management, Finance, Regulatory, CFO, President) and represent both MC and global/regional Operations to drive clarity, accountability, and shared outcomes.
Demand Management Excellence: Lead the end-to-end demand management agenda—planning, communicating, influencing, and prioritizing/managing demand. Validate and challenge demand volumes, highlight step changes with clear market intelligence, and partner with supply planning to secure robust planning.
Integrated Business Planning Stewardship: Act as a key stakeholder in the monthly global IBP cycle. Generate and communicate balanced, realistic demand plans, and proactively synchronize supply and demand so plans can be realized. Escalate issues and recommend solutions in collaboration with senior leaders in Finance and Commercial.
Market Intelligence and Communication: Capture, document, and communicate market intelligence throughout the monthly planning cycle to strengthen decision quality and forecast reliability.
Customer Service and Inventory Governance: Agree appropriate customer service levels by product with supply planning, and MCs, balancing inventory targets and COGs objectives. Execute Supply Chain Monitor responsibilities for stock-out management and reporting and set volume-based inventory targets through the stock renewal process.
Issue Management and Patient Continuity: In periods of recovery or arbitration, maintain an appropriate balance between supply and demand to prevent patient impact, aligning actions and trade-offs across stakeholders and managing demand where necessary.
New Product Introduction and Life Cycle Management: Support NPI as outlined in IBP Guidelines. Partner on launch volumes, pipeline fills, asset changes, discontinuations, and lead range rationalization and optimization on behalf of the MC.
Data, Parameters, and Governance: Support global supply chain planning including parameter setting, master data quality and governance, arbitration/allocation setting, and business continuity plans. Represent Operations in initiatives around product security, labelling, packaging, asset strategy, and supply chain innovation.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Experience leading Integrated Business Planning cycles across multiple markets and brands
Expertise with demand validation, scenario modeling, and planning tools
Proven track record in customer service level segmentation and stock-out recovery management
Background in pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industries
Hands-on experience with new product launch planning, range rationalization, and discontinuation management
Familiarity with strategies for authorized generics and second brands, and associated labelling changes
Strong master data governance and parameter setting in complex global supply chains
Ability to translate market signals into actionable supply strategies across a 3–5 year horizon
Business Relationship Management: Builds and maintains strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust, alignment, and effective collaboration.
Business Awareness/Acumen: Applies strong commercial and organizational understanding to align decisions with business priorities, financial objectives, and market dynamics.
Influencing: Effectively influences stakeholders at all levels by communicating clearly, building credibility, and driving alignment toward shared goals.
Supplier/Partnership Management: Establishes and manages productive supplier and partner relationships to ensure performance, value creation, and mutual accountability.
Strategic Leadership: Provides strategic direction by translating long-term business objectives into actionable priorities and sustainable results.
AI Capability: Demonstrates the ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and data-driven insights to enhance demand planning, scenario analysis, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
Compliance: Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards while promoting a culture of risk awareness and governance.
