Introduction

We are currently searching for a Mid Level Software Developer to join our
international team in Rome and work on a full time, permanent position with a
remote working style and excellent opportunities for career progress.
The Software Developer is part of the ECLIPSE Product Development team and
contributes to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the ECLIPSE
suite of products—essential software supporting the Space sector. Working within
an Agile environment, the Software Developer delivers high-quality software,
collaborates closely with team members, and continuously develops technical
expertise while contributing to the success of the product.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test, and maintain software features throughout the development lifecycle.
* Take ownership of assigned features from implementation through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established development standards.
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
* Collaborate with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and other developers to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
* Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.
* Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues.
* Contribute ideas to improve development processes, tooling, and engineering practices.
* Keep technical knowledge up to date and pursue continuous professional development. Profile
* Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
* 3–5 years' experience in Java web application development.
* Experience with:
* Java/J2EE
* Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate
* HTML, CSS, JavaScript
* Front-end frameworks (Angular, jQuery or similar)
* Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
* Git, SVN, or other version control systems
* Good understanding of software engineering principles and Agile methodologies.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Good written and spoken English.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a development team. Nice to Have
* Java certifications
* Experience with Struts Framework
* MongoDB
* Lucene
* Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
