The Opportunity: Provide general technical and commercial support to both external as well as internal customers such as the external product specialists, account managers and internal colleagues. Answer technical questions about products and applications. Treatment of product-related quality complaints. Act proactively with a view to achieving customer satisfaction and the promoting the sales cycle. The Product Specialist is VWR's internal resource with expertise in the Chemicals product range. The main responsibilities include providing technical product support to customers and colleagues, preparing quotations and supporting tender activities. The position is office-based. Technical Support Provide ongoing pre
- and post-sales technical support to customers on the Chemicals product range within the VWR portfolio. Provide technical input for quotations and price recommendations based on product and market knowledge. Identify and develop new opportunities through interaction with technical end users. Collaborate effectively with the broader internal network. Main activities Increase competitive advantage and customer satisfaction by building trust and developing strong partnerships. Work closely with customers, suppliers, VWR Sales teams and European functions to develop valuable solutions for customers' needs. Develop and maintain broad knowledge of the VWR product portfolio. Maintain knowledge of current commercial campaigns and initiatives. Participate in internal and external training sessions and relevant meetings. Liaise with suppliers on technical and product-related questions. Support tender activities by identifying suitable products and responding to technical requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Targets Work closely with the Sales and Product Specialist teams to support the achievement of company targets and strategic objectives within the assigned product area. Qualifications Scientific background in chemistry or a related discipline; knowledge of or a background in microbiology would be considered an advantage. Previous experience with laboratory products is preferred. Italian mother tongue and good written and spoken English. Good knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge, abilities and skills Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions. Self-driven and well organized, with good time-management skills. Service-oriented attitude towards internal and external customers. Flexible and adaptable. Persistent and results-oriented. Good communication skills. Ability to manage a high workload and work effectively under pressure. Strong problem-solving skills. Additional information The gross annual base salary (RAL) offered is starting from € 34.236 in accordance with the provisions of the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Industria Chimica) The Company is committed to offering a competitive compensation package and, following the selection process, may propose a final gross annual base salary above the stated level, commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications The position's compensation package also includes a variable component. - €51.922,50 The minimum base gross annual salary (RAL) is stated in accordance with the provisions of the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Industria Chimica). The actual gross annual base salary offered within the posted range is based on the candidate's relevant experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications.
