Work at the heart of the energy transition
Would you like to combine electrical engineering with renewable energy, hands-on testing, and international project work?
As a Power Systems Engineer – Grid Compliance & Testing at DNV, you will work directly with wind, solar and other power-generation projects, helping demonstrate that power plants can connect to the electricity grid safely, reliably and in accordance with applicable technical requirements.
This isn't a purely desk-based engineering position. You will combine on-site electrical testing and measurements, data analysis, customer interaction and project delivery, working both in the field and from your home base in Bologna.
You don't necessarily need to be a Grid Code Compliance specialist from day one. If you have a solid electrical or power engineering foundation, practical technical experience and an interest in developing your expertise in grid compliance and power quality, this could be an excellent next step.
The team
You will join DNV's Wind & Solar Technology Testing Team, a multidisciplinary international team supporting renewable and conventional power-generation projects through measurements, simulations, technical analysis and certification services.
Within the team, our Grid Code Compliance specialists help verify that power plants meet national and international grid-connection requirements. The work includes Grid Code Compliance assessments, Fault Ride Through (FRT) testing and power-quality measurements, with a strong focus on projects in Italy and across Europe.

• Analyse data from measurement campaigns against relevant grid codes, international standards and technical requirements.
• Interpret results and prepare clear, professional technical reports.
• Present technical findings to customers . Take ownership of your projects :
• Manage power-quality measurement projects, including scope, schedule and costs .
