Modena, Emilia-Romagna, Italia INP - Deporte Virtual Da remoto Tempo pieno
We are looking for two Senior Data Engineers for a short-term, focused project supporting a healthcare and pharmacy patient platform. The primary objective is to design, build, and validate a reusable data migration tool to transfer patient records from a legacy system to a new platform. This initial phase focuses on developing the migration tool, testing it across a small number of instances, validating data accuracy, and documenting the process to ensure the future full-scale migration can be executed reliably. The role will also involve backend integration work related to prescription refills, messaging, and appointments. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in data engineering, strong Python and SQL skills, solid Node.js backend experience, and the ability to work independently within a short project timeline.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop a reusable data migration tool for patient records, messages, and appointment data.
• Define field mappings, data transformation rules, and migration sequences for legacy systems with weak or loosely structured relational models.
• Build and execute test migrations across selected instances and generate reports documenting migration results.
• Analyze source data to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and missing information.
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout the migration process.
• Develop and maintain backend services and integrations using Node.js.
• Support integration features related to prescription refills, including fax-based fallback workflows and administrative configuration.
• Document the migration tool, technical decisions, and operational procedures to support future large-scale migrations.
• Work independently to deliver reliable results within the established project timeline. Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, including hands-on experience building data migration tools, ETL pipelines, or data transformation solutions.
• Strong Python programming skills for data processing, transformation, validation, and analysis.
• Solid Node.js experience developing backend services and system integrations.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex, inconsistent, or loosely structured legacy data.
• Experience with data mapping, transformation logic, data quality validation, and migration testing.
• Experience handling sensitive or regulated data; healthcare data experience is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly, work independently, and deliver within a fixed project timeline. Nice-to-Have Qualifications
• Experience with healthcare, pharmacy systems, patient portals, or electronic patient records.
• Familiarity with HIPAA requirements or other healthcare data privacy and security standards.
• Experience integrating prescription refill, messaging, or appointment management workflows.
• Familiarity with product analytics, data warehousing, or reporting tools. Project Details
