IT Systems & Automation Coordinator
Who We Are
Four years ago, Dragonfruit set out to bring together talented visual storytellers, viral-video strategists, and major clients to change how content is created and consumed on YouTube. Since then, our work has generated more than a billion organic views for creators and organizations including MrBeast, Ali Abdaal, Mark Manson, Chris Williamson, Codie Sanchez, Y Combinator, e.l.f. Beauty, WHOOP, ClickUp, and the Center for Humane Technology.
Our Mission
Dragonfruit exists to help the world’s most important ideas travel farther. We partner with experts, educators, scientists, founders, and creators to turn deep knowledge into media people want to watch, share, and act on. Our mission is to build the creative infrastructure for a healthier, more thoughtful internet.
The Role
Dragonfruit is hiring an IT Systems & Automation Coordinator to manage the internal technology, systems, and automations our company runs on.
You will administer our core software, manage accounts and permissions, troubleshoot technical issues, and build automated workflows that help our teams work more efficiently. Your initial focus will be supporting People Ops, Finance, and Recruiting, with the role expanding across other departments over time.
This is a hands-on technical role—not a general operations or HR position. You do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be highly comfortable with technology, quick to troubleshoot unfamiliar tools, and capable of building reliable workflows using automation and AI.
What You’ll Do
• Administer company tools including Google Workspace, Slack, ClickUp, Notion, our HRIS, password-management software, and other platforms.
• Manage accounts, permissions, integrations, licenses, system configurations, and access standards across the company.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for technical and access issues, resolving problems directly or escalating them when necessary.
• Build and maintain automations using tools such as Make, Zapier, APIs, webhooks, and AI platforms.
• Identify inefficient or manual workflows and turn them into practical, scalable systems.
• Maintain clear documentation, conduct regular system and access audits, and support responsible security and software-spending practices. What Success Looks Like Employees receive fast and effective technical support, company systems remain accurate and secure, and core tools are clearly documented and properly configured. Manual work is replaced with reliable automation where appropriate, and new systems create measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, or cost. Skills and Qualifications
• Experience administering SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, ClickUp, Notion, an HRIS, or similar tools.
• Experience managing user accounts, permissions, integrations, licenses, and system configurations.
• Ability to build automations using Make, Zapier, APIs, webhooks, or similar technology.
• Practical experience using AI tools to improve operational workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly.
• Clear communication, strong documentation habits, and patience supporting non-technical colleagues.
• Familiarity with access control, password management, and basic data-security practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is a plus, but not required. What You Can Expect Dragonfruit is a fast-moving startup where you will work across departments, take ownership of important systems, and help shape how the company operates as it grows. You will have room to introduce better tools, improve inefficient processes, and expand your responsibilities as our technical needs evolve. Perks
