Technical Leader

Mia-Platform is a software company founded in Milan, Italy in 2016. We are the leading solution for AI-native Developer Platform. With our product, we help companies create their digital platform and intelligent applications, based on Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and AI agents.

About the role
We are looking for a Technical Leader with a solid engineering background, proven technical stewardship, and a genuine product mindset: someone who cares about why a feature matters as much as how it is built, and who can guide an engineering team toward high-impact delivery. In this role, you will champion and steer an AI-first approach across the entire software development lifecycle. You will set technical standards, guide architectural decisions, and lead the development of AI agents that make our products and our team's workflows faster, smarter, and more scalable. You will act as the technical anchor within a cross-functional team alongside Product Managers, Designers, and other Engineers, taking ownership of features used by thousands of users every day while fostering engineering excellence and mentoring fellow engineers. Responsibilities
• Technical Leadership & Ownership: steer technical direction and oversee the end-to-end design, build, and delivery of product features, championing an AI-first approach across every stage of development.
• AI Architecture & Agent Design: architect, supervise, and hands-on develop production-grade AI agents and multi-agent systems, seamlessly integrating them into our products and development workflows.
• Partner closely with Product Managers and Designers to shape the product roadmap: break down business problems, evaluate technical trade-offs, and design pragmatic, scalable solutions.
• Lead architectural decisions and high-level designs for new components, APIs, microservices, and integrations, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
• Elevate software quality by driving robust testing strategies, production monitoring, distributed observability, and structured code reviews.
• Mentor team members, drive best practices around AI-assisted coding and agentic workflows, and foster a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture. Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with demonstrated experience leading features, guiding architectures, or mentoring engineers within product teams.
• Knowledge of at least one of the following languages: Node (JavaScript/TypeScript), Java, Go, Rust.
• Experience with React/Angular on the frontend.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based agents and multi-agent (A2A) architectures in production (e.g., using LangChain), agent evaluation and observability (e.g., via Langfuse), and daily use of AI coding agents in your workflow.
• A product mindset: you reason

• Good understanding of Microservices architectures, REST APIs, event-driven systems.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to take ownership and propose architectural improvements.

• Experience with Kafka and Event-Driven architecture.
• Familiarity with observability practices: logging, metrics, monitoring.
