BIOGEST® is an international manufacturer of biomethane and biogas plants with headquarters in Austria and subsidiaries in France, Italy, Romania, Serbia, the Czech Republic, the UK and the USA. With a team of more than 100 highly qualified employees, we have already completed over 200 biogas plant projects that generate electricity or biomethane worldwide, thereby contributing to climate protection. We are currently seeking a dedicated and hands-on Plant Operator to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our biogas facilities and support our continued growth.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Operating and controlling all components of the biomethane plant and related systems
Conducting regular inspections and performing all necessary maintenance activities
Troubleshooting, revision, assembly, and disassembly of mechanical components and assemblies (pumps, valves, bearings), electrical components (drives, contactors, relays), and piping systems
Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant and responding promptly in the event of breakdowns or emergencies
Supporting loading, unloading, and material handling activities as required
Maintaining a high level of responsibility and commitment while working under tight deadlines
Collaborating with colleagues to ensure continuous and reliable plant operations
YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for a reliable, proactive, and hands-on professional with strong mechanical and electrical skills and a willingness to learn and grow within the biomethane sector. Requirements Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems Ability to operate, monitor, and perform maintenance on plant equipment and components Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and other standard software) Interest in data analysis and process evaluation Self-motivated, reliable, respectful, and eager to learn new skills Proactive attitude with a practical approach to problem-solving Analytical mindset with a focus on process optimization Team-oriented personality with the ability to collaborate effectively and motivate colleagues Commitment to continuous learning and professional development Availability to relocate or transfer based on business needs Flexibility to support activities across multiple company sites Strong conversational English skills Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in biogas, biomethane, agricultural, industrial, or process plant environments Basic knowledge of the anaerobic digestion process Experience operating telehandlers, forklifts, loaders, or similar machinery Experience with loading and unloading operations and material handling Availability and flexibility to support extraordinary maintenance activities when required Position

€35,000 gross per year. Depending on experience, qualifications, and performance, we are open to discussing a higher starting salary and future salary increases.
