The mission of the LGM Group is to design unique innovative solutions (products, organizational, or technological) for large industrial groups, aiming to enhance the performance of large complex systems and infrastructures during operational and maintenance phases.
LGM is the historical entity of the Group, where everything started more than 30 years ago. Today, LGM comprises approximately 1100 employees, both in France and internationally, who analyze, optimize, and manage the design, operation, and maintenance of complex systems.
Your Role
Reporting to LGM Italia, and working from the input data provided, you will carry out the following tasks:
• Understand how complex railway rolling stock systems work (trains, metros, trams, locomotives): traction, braking, bogies, doors, air conditioning, on-board systems, electrical and electronic architecture.
• Analyse technical specifications, definition files and 2D/3D drawings.
• Liaise with expert teams (design offices, engineering, maintenance, manufacturers and operators).
• Produce the maintenance and operating technical documentation for rolling stock: maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogues (IPC), troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures, operating instructions.
• Ensure the quality control (technical content and form) of the deliverables produced.
• Contribute to project progress monitoring and risk management.
• Review and edit existing documents to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with company standards and railway sector requirements.
• Manage comments and revisions from internal and external stakeholders, in Italian and English.
Your Profile
And The Qualities We Are Looking For
• Native Italian speaker, with fluent English, written and spoken (documentation and exchanges are in both languages). Fluency in French would be a significant advantage for communicating with LGM’s head office in France and its subsidiaries across French-speaking countries.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in technical documentation or railway mechanical engineering.
• Technical education (mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering, transport or equivalent) including proven technical writing skills.
• Good technical knowledge of complex electromechanical systems, and ideally successful experience in the railway sector, particularly on rolling stock (maintenance, design office or technical documentation).
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, understandable terms.
• Knowledge of technical documentation standards such as DITA XML and S1000D would be an asset, as would knowledge of railway frameworks (e.g. EN 50126 / RAMS, or interoperability specifications).
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
• Rigour in carrying out tasks and following processes.
• Residence near Nola (Naples area) or local mobility preferred.
What We Offer
• A simple, smooth recruitment process (3 steps in 3 weeks maximum).
• Onboarding before and after your arrival, with regular check-ins.
• A career path built on our framework of 12 job families and more than 100 different roles.
• Individualised, effective upskilling thanks to a training system proven over 30 years (self-service e-learning platform, internal meetups, mentoring, etc.).
• A company where everyone can thrive and help make LGM a place where everyone feels good: our processes set a framework, not barriers.
