As a Financial Controller You Will
• Oversee all local accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable and payroll. Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure complete alignment with Italian tax laws, statutory reporting requirements, and local business regulations.
• Direct the preparation of annual operational budgets and rolling forecasts. Analyze monthly budget vs. actual variances, labor costs, and departmental expenditures to optimize operational efficiency.
• Establish and enforce rigorous financial workflows to safeguard assets, maintain audit-ready transparency, and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners in Italy.
• Collaborate closely with Hotel General Managers and the corporate office to evaluate financial performance and drive commercial growth initiatives. Entry Requirements
• Minimum of 5+ years in financial control, senior auditing, or corporate finance roles, explicitly within luxury 5-star hospitality, tourism, or premium real estate.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Economics; professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA) is a strong plus
• Deep, working knowledge of Italian accounting principles (OIC), Italian tax legislation, labor compliance laws, and USALI hotel accounting standards.
• High proficiency with hospitality in ERP networks (e.g., Opera, Opera Cloud, SAP, Entersoft) and advanced financial modeling in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory (both written and spoken).
