About The Role
What if your voice could directly shape how AI speaks to millions of Italian speakers around the world? We're looking for experienced Italian-speaking voice actors to record professional-grade audio and evaluate AI-generated speech — helping the world's leading AI systems sound genuinely human. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working voice professionals. No AI background needed — just exceptional Italian vocal delivery and a professional recording setup. And no, this does not involve voice cloning of any kind. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract

What You'll Do
Record high-quality Italian voice performances using a large diaphragm microphone (LDM), following provided scripts and creative prompts Evaluate AI-generated Italian speech for naturalness, pronunciation accuracy, emotional expression, and overall quality Provide detailed, actionable feedback to help improve synthesized voice outputs Review and suggest script adjustments to enhance clarity and ensure authentic, natural-sounding delivery Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule Who You Are Experienced voice actor, narrator, audiobook reader, or voice-over professional Native or near-native fluency in Italian with a strong command of natural spoken delivery Owner of a professional-grade microphone and access to a quiet, acoustically controlled recording environment Able to deliver engaging, expressive, and well-articulated vocal performances across a range of styles and tones Sharp ear for nuance — you notice subtle differences in rhythm, intonation, and pronunciation Detail-oriented when evaluating voice quality and providing structured feedback Nice to Have Experience across multiple Italian regional accents or vocal styles Background in audiobook narration, commercial voice-over, or broadcast media Familiarity with audio production tools or DAW software Prior experience evaluating or rating audio content professionally Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and Fortune 500 companies Fully remote and flexible — record and evaluate on your own schedule, from your own studio Freelance autonomy with the structure of clear, well-defined task-based work Your voice makes a direct, tangible impact on how AI understands and produces Italian speech Top contributors may be invited to lead or expand into new future initiatives Gain firsthand exposure to state-of-the-art large language model development and audio AI workflows
