We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Site Mechanical Engineer to lead engineering activities across ASEE Ltd projects in Italy. This role is responsible for overseeing site engineering functions, ensuring technical excellence, and supporting project delivery in line with specifications, client requirements, and industry standards, particularly within complex and critical environments such as data centres.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all site engineering activities across projects Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with design intent and project requirements Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and client representatives Supervise and mentor site engineers and junior team members Monitor project progress and ensure engineering milestones are achieved Identify and resolve complex technical issues and provide engineering solutions Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Oversee quality control and ensure works meet required standards Support planning, scheduling, and resource allocation Manage site documentation, reports, and engineering records Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and project delivery Skills & Competencies Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of construction and engineering processes Leadership: Ability to lead and develop engineering teams Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to resolve complex site issues Communication: Clear and professional when liaising with stakeholders Organisation: Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Attention to Detail: Ensures quality and accuracy in engineering works Health & Safety Focus: Strong commitment to safe working practices Decision-Making: Confident in making critical engineering decisions Qualifications & Experience Degree or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical or related discipline) Proven experience in a Site Engineer or similar role Strong knowledge of construction and engineering practices Experience within large-scale or complex projects (e.g. data centres) highly desirable Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and site practices Excellent leadership and team management skills Good IT skills for reporting and documentation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full driving licence Full unrestricted right to work in the EU without future visa or sponsorship requirement
