Graduate Service Engineer – Control Systems Company: Turner ECS (MCS)

€30,000 per annum Launch Your Engineering Career in Energy Control Systems Turner MCS is looking for a motivated engineering graduate to join our Italian operations as a Graduate Service Engineer. This is a hands-on, field-based role designed to develop future specialists in control systems for gas and steam turbines, diesel engines, compressors and generators. You’ll receive structured mentoring, real site exposure, and technical training from experienced engineers. You’ll be primarily based in Italy, with a planned 3-month development rotation in the Netherlands, plus potential international project exposure. We invest heavily in our graduates and aim to build long-term careers within our business. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll support experienced engineers across: Field Service & Troubleshooting Assisting with diagnostics and root cause analysis Supporting hardware repairs and software adjustments Learning how to restore and optimise system performance Commissioning & Installation Supporting functional testing and site acceptance testing (SAT) Assisting during system installations Working alongside Project Engineers on live customer sites Planning & Reporting Reviewing technical drawings and documentation Preparing tools and equipment for site work Assisting with service reports and system data updates You’ll gain exposure to both the technical and commercial aspects of service engineering. What We’re Looking For Essential: Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Energy Engineering (or similar) Strong interest in control systems, automation, or rotating machinery Fluent / strong professional English Willingness to travel internationally Strong problem-solving skills We’re particularly interested in graduates who: Want a hands-on, site-based engineering career Are technically curious and eager to learn Are comfortable in industrial environments See themselves building a long-term career in the energy sector You don’t need experience — we’re looking for potential, drive and commitment. Working Environment You’ll work at industrial customer sites including: Power generation facilities Marine vessels Offshore platforms Industrial plants Travel expenses are fully covered for customer assignments. Appropriate PPE and safety support are always provided.
