Reporting into a global procurement function, you will translate global sourcing strategies into local results, working closely with Senior Category Managers in each country. You will also own the strategic sourcing of all regional (non-global) spend categories. This is a high-impact role with clear accountability for financial value, operational excellence and service quality across a large, distributed operation.
Key responsibilities
Supplier relationship management
• Own the full supplier lifecycle, from onboarding through to exit, for products and services across all sites in Italy, Portugal and Spain.
• Build strong, long-term supplier partnerships that drive continuous improvement and support operational and financial objectives.
• Act as the main escalation point for supplier and internal client issues, including urgent orders and continuity risks. Value creation and strategic initiatives
• Lead value capture programmes across key spend areas, with a strong focus on Design to Value.
• Work with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that balance cost, quality and service.
• Identify and deliver process improvements and innovation within procurement operations. Operational leadership and risk management
• Ensure procurement operations run smoothly across a large network of sites, resolving day-to-day operational challenges.
• Respond quickly and decisively to disruptions, including the rapid selection and onboarding of new suppliers to protect business continuity.
• Define and monitor operational KPIs to hold suppliers accountable and keep them aligned with business goals. What we are looking for
• 10+ years of progressive procurement experience, with a strong focus on supplier management and operational execution.
• Proven success managing supplier relationships across a large, multi-site network.
• Strategic and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; Spanish and Italian.
