Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily transportation operations and transport booking.
• Coordinate domestic and international road freight transportation.
• Source, evaluate and manage third-party carriers and logistics providers.
• Negotiate transportation rates, contracts and service conditions.
• Monitor transportation costs, delivery performance and operational KPIs.
• Ensure carriers meet applicable licensing, insurance and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve transportation issues.
• Support the setup and development of transportation operations in Italy.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Italian and EU transportation regulations.
• Fulfil the responsibilities of Gestore dei Trasporti, where required and legally eligible. Requirements
• Valid Attestato di Idoneità Professionale per il Trasporto su Strada di Merci, issued or officially recognized in Italy.
• Qualification covering international road freight transport, where required for the intended business activities.
• Eligible to act as Gestore dei Trasporti under applicable Italian regulations.
• Experience in transportation operations, road freight, transport booking or carrier management.
• Experience in carrier sourcing, rate negotiation and transportation procurement.
• Knowledge of Italian road transport regulations and relevant EU requirements.
• Fluent Italian and good English communication skills.
• Strong coordination, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in freight forwarding, 3PL/4PL or logistics operations.
• Experience setting up transportation operations in Italy.
