Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Trento. The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop mechanical components and systems for industrial coating machines, ensuring reliability, safety, and performance. Day-to-day activities include creating and updating CAD models and technical drawings, performing mechanical calculations, and supporting prototype development and testing. The role involves collaborating with R&D, production, and automation teams to integrate mechanical designs into fully automated coating lines and optimize existing equipment. The Mechanical Engineer will also assist in project planning, documentation, and technical support for installation, commissioning, and after-sales service. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with the ability to apply engineering principles to industrial machinery and surface treatment systems.
• Proficiency in Machine Design, including mechanical component sizing, material selection, and design for manufacturability and maintainability.
• Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and 2D drafting, and preparation of clear, accurate technical documentation.
• Ability to contribute to Research and Development (R&D) activities, including prototyping, testing, and continuous improvement of coating technologies and equipment.
• Project Management skills to support planning, coordination, and timely delivery of engineering tasks within cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, manufacturing processes, and surface engineering or coating technologies is an advantage.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and safety regulations for industrial machinery.
• Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of Italian is beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site, with a practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
