Who we are
Forte builds AI tools that automate workflows for the entertainment industry. We're based in Turin (office near Porta Susa) and work hybrid — generally Tuesdays and Thursdays in the office. We hire fast: max one month from application to offer, two interviews max.
Our tech stack
Swift (macOS automation + accessibility APIs), Flutter, Python, Next.js. Heavy on on-device AI and real production constraints. Happy to go into the details.
About the role
You’ll work directly with the founding team on the core of what Forte builds: production software used every day by audio and entertainment professionals (1000+ paying users). This is a hands-on engineering role focused on both maintaining and evolving existing company software, plus shipping new features. You’ll own technical decisions, ship production code, interact with real users (bug reports, feedback, support), and see the impact of your work quickly. We’re looking for someone organized, reliable, and comfortable with high ownership and responsibility. As the team grows, you’ll become a reference point for other engineers: you’ll help set technical direction, bring clarity when things are ambiguous, and keep delivery moving in the right direction. You’ll have real ownership over the problems you take on, direct access to the founders, and a compensation package that reflects the weight of the role. What we're looking for
• Strong software engineering fundamentals + production experience. You’ve maintained and shipped real software used by paying customers. You know how to balance stability, performance, and new feature work under real constraints.
• User-facing ownership. You’re comfortable interacting with users to understand issues, reproduce bugs, gather feedback, and close the loop. You don’t just write code — you make sure the product works for the people who pay for it.
• Organized and reliable under responsibility. You take ownership, plan your work, communicate clearly, and deliver without constant supervision. You think in outcomes, not just tasks.
• Excellent English. Written and spoken — you’ll use it daily with the team and users.
• Hybrid setup. Generally Tuesdays and Thursdays in the office near Porta Susa (Turin). The rest is flexible/remote. Bonus (nice to have):
• Experience with Swift and macOS-native development.
• Previous hands-on work with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate development and maintenance. Compensation €28–50k RAL depending on experience + equity package.
