DataFactor is an applied research lab powering the next generation of frontier foundation models.
We’re looking for a Business Development Executive to help us identify, open, and develop new commercial opportunities across different industries and markets.
This is a hands-on role with a high degree of ownership. You won’t just be working from a predefined list of leads. You’ll often start with a business need or a new market opportunity, figure out which companies and decision-makers matter, build the target list, launch outreach, and turn those conversations into qualified opportunities.
You’ll work directly with DataFactor’s founders and have significant exposure to how we identify and pursue new opportunities in a fast-moving AI market.
What you’ll do
• Identify and research new markets, industries, companies, and decision-makers.
• Build targeted outbound strategies from the ground up.
• Prospect through email, LinkedIn, cold calls, and other relevant channels.
• Own outreach from first contact through qualification and early-stage opportunity development.
• Run discovery conversations and understand whether an opportunity is a strong fit.
• Build and manage targeted account and contact lists for specific commercial initiatives.
• Work directly with DataFactor founders to prioritize opportunities and adjust commercial strategies based on market feedback.
• Manage inbound opportunities. What we’re looking for
• 4–7 years of professional experience, with meaningful experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with outbound prospecting and lead generation.
• Comfortable with cold outreach, including calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
• Ability to independently research a market and identify the right companies and people to approach.
• Strong written and spoken English, ideally with experience working with US-based customers or teams.
• Experience managing opportunities through qualification and early stages of the sales process.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating directly with senior leadership. Nice to have
• Previous experience as an SDR, BDR, Account Executive, or in another outbound-focused commercial role.
• Experience selling into the US market.
• Experience building outbound campaigns or entering new markets from scratch.
• Spanish proficiency.
• Experience in AI, technology, data, SaaS, or another fast-moving B2B environment. What makes this role different This is not a traditional SDR role where success means simply working through a fixed list of accounts. You’ll have the opportunity to help determine where we should go next, build the strategy for reaching those markets, and execute it yourself. If you enjoy sales but also like research, problem-solving, and building things from scratch, this role should feel very natural.
