Your opportunity The Mall Simon Luxury Outlets is currently seeking a new Retail Design Specialist, based at The Mall Firenze and supporting both The Mall Firenze and The Mall Sanremo. The Retail Design Specialist will support store design, technical approval, fit-out and handover activities across both destinations, acting as a key point of contact between brand teams and the relevant Construction and Facility teams. The role will contribute to the smooth and timely delivery of new stores, refurbishments and temporary stores at The Mall Firenze and The Mall Sanremo, in compliance with The Mall Simon Luxury Outlets’ technical guidelines and quality standards. How you will contribute Act as a day-to-day interface with brand teams on store planning, design, fit-out and construction activities Gather technical documents for contracts and brand requirements Schedule and lead regular meetings with brand design teams to align on ongoing projects if necessary Prepare technical and final asset lists for handover reports with Facility and Construction teams’ support Review and approve store design projects Organize site surveys before and after handovers, or when necessary Distribute worksite guidelines and procedures Collect handover documents and signatures: plans, asset lists, reports, and power of attorney Manage non-standard brand requests with Facility and Construction teams support (e.g., technical issues, supplier contacts) For Temporary Store only: Handle construction contracts, schedule handovers/returns, and coordinate related activities Prepare and update store floor plans and the overall Mall master plan, providing accurate drawings and layouts to support the Leasing team in commercial and space planning activities Act as a liason with other departments such as GS, Leasing and Marketing for special events and projects Strengthen land registry and urban planning compliance functions, while maintaining close coordination with the Legal Department Who you are You have a degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or a related technical/design field, with 1–3 years of experience in retail design, store development, fit-out, construction or project support. You have a good understanding of architectural design and construction processes and are confident reading architectural, structural and MEP drawings. You are proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop and Illustrator. You are organised, accurate and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage different projects, activities and deadlines simultaneously. You are a strong communicator and a collaborative team player, comfortable working with brand teams, architects, contractors and different internal stakeholders. You have a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, enjoy working in a dynamic environment and are comfortable combining office-based activities with regular presence on site. Previous exposure to retail, shopping malls, luxury, hospitality or other commercial environments would be a plus. You are fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken. Why work with us?
