We are looking for a Business Application Specialist to join our Team based in Calderara di Reno (BO). MISSION Manage and enhance SAP S/4HANA logistics processes across the Group, ensuring seamless integration between business operations and warehouse automation systems. The role collaborates with business functions, IT teams, and external partners to deliver efficient and scalable solutions that support the Group’s digital transformation and operational excellence. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyzing business requirements and logistics processes in collaboration with Procurement, Warehouse, Production, and Supply Chain teams;
• Defining functional and technical specifications for the implementation of business solutions and system enhancements;
• Configuring and supporting SAP S/4HANA in WM/EWM module – for instance purchasing document types, movement types, valuation, invoice verification, basic MRP, warehouse structure, putaway and picking strategies, handling units, RF transactions – ensuring alignment with related PP, SD, and QM processes;
• Analyzing, defining, and monitoring integrations between SAP and third-party warehouse (optional: integration with automation systems like WMS/WCS, automated warehouses, AGVs, labeling systems, and RF devices);
• Defining and executing test cases/UAT, supporting integration testing with automation suppliers from factory acceptance to on-site commissioning, and managing application releases;
• Preparing functional and technical specifications for developments and validating delivered solutions; REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in technical-scientific or economic disciplines;
• At least 3 years of experience working with SAP WM Warehouse Management solutions (WM, EWM, or Stock Room Management), with the ability to carry out configuration autonomously;
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, or SAP ECC (optional: with participation in migration and/or rollout projects);
• Practical knowledge – not as a developer – of SAP interface mechanisms (IDoc, BAPI/RFC, OData or web services), including interface error handling;
• Hands-on experience on at least one project involving third-party logistics systems (or automated equipment);
• Ability to work with distributed teams in an international environment, across internal competence centers, external consultants, and technology partners;
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal business users, external consultants, and technology partners;
• Fluency in Italian and English. NICE TO HAVE
• Experience with SAP EWM and migration projects from WM to EWM;
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and related logistics flows (line-side picking, kanban, subcontracting);
• Familiarity with WCS logic and with the technical language of automation suppliers, sufficient to lead an interface discussion;
• Experience with RF devices and warehouse mobility solutions; COMPENSATION PACKAGE The annual compensation range for this position is €38,000
- €45,000, with additional benefits. This compensation range has been determined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including the scope of the role, required skills, relevant professional experience, qualifications, and level of responsibility.
