Our client is one of the world's fastest-growing, tech-driven logistics giants that already dominates the e-commerce delivery space across Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. They are now heavily investing to launch their European operations starting in Italy, offering a rare opportunity to build a business from scratch ('0 to 1') with the financial backing and stability of a multi-billion-dollar global enterprise. I. Job Responsibilities 1. Health & Safety Compliance Establish and implement local Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies from scratch, ensuring strict compliance with Italian workplace safety regulations (e.g., D.
Lgs. 81/08). Act as the point of contact for local health and safety authorities (ASL, INAIL, Fire Department) and ensure all site certifications and permits are up to date. Draft, update, and manage the Risk Assessment Document (DVR
- Documento di Valutazione dei Rischi) for the hub and office facilities. 2. Physical Security & Loss Prevention Develop and oversee the physical security infrastructure of the sorting hub, including CCTV monitoring, access control systems, and perimeter security. Lead investigations into parcel losses, damages, or potential internal/external theft. Implement preventative measures to minimize shrinkage. Manage external security vendors (e.g., security guards, alarm response teams) and ensure service quality. 3. Site Inspections & Risk Management Conduct regular on-site safety audits and daily patrols on the warehouse floor to identify potential hazards (e.g., forklift operations, heavy lifting, sorting machinery). Promptly correct unsafe behaviors and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among all operational staff and third-party drivers. 4. Emergency Response & Accident Handling Develop and drill Emergency Response Plans (fire evacuation, first-aid protocols, natural disasters). Lead the investigation of any on-site accidents or near-misses, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to achieve a "Zero Accident" goal. 5. Training & Culture Building Organize and conduct mandatory HSE training for new hires, hub workers, and external drivers. Foster a strong "Safety First" culture within the fast-paced, high-intensity logistics operations environment. II. Qualifications Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Risk Management, or related fields. Holding a valid RSPP (Responsabile del Servizio di Prevenzione e Protezione) certification is highly preferred.
