Role Description The Expediter is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the progress of vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and documentation for client projects. Day-to-day tasks include tracking orders, reviewing project schedules, following up with stakeholders, preparing status reports, and identifying potential delays or risks. The role involves collaborating closely with procurement, engineering, logistics, and site teams, as well as maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. This is a full-time position based in Milan in a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility. The Expediter will contribute to continuous improvement of expediting processes and support overall project performance and quality. Qualifications
• Experience in expediting, supply chain, or procurement coordination, including tracking orders, managing timelines, and liaising with suppliers and contractors.
• Knowledge of project management practices, scheduling tools, and basic logistics principles to monitor progress and identify risks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical and commercial documentation and propose corrective actions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• High attention to detail, accuracy in reporting, and commitment to quality, rigor, and confidentiality in line with ISO 9001 standards.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing priorities and deadlines under time pressure.
• Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Excel, Word, email, collaborative tools); familiarity with ERP or project management systems is an advantage.
• Relevant technical or business education (e.g., diploma or degree in engineering, supply chain, industrial management, or related field), or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in inspection, engineering support, or industrial projects, especially within regulated environments, is a plus.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Italian; additional languages are beneficial for international projects.
