The Opportunity
The BIA team provides technical, commercial and strategic advice to financial investors, infrastructure operators, developers, public sector clients and international financial institutions across the infrastructure sector.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of a wide range of projects within the transport, telecommunications and social infrastructure sectors. Typical assignments include technical and commercial due diligence, asset reviews and strategic advisory services supporting investment, acquisition, financing and development decisions.
Working as part of multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to the assessment of technical, operational, commercial and ESG aspects of infrastructure projects and portfolios, helping clients understand risks, opportunities and key value drivers.
The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop both technical and commercial skills while working alongside experienced advisors on high-profile infrastructure transactions and projects.
As Consultant At Arup, You Will
• Contribute to technical, commercial, and ESG due diligence assignments, supporting clients in evaluating projects and investment opportunities
• Research and analyse project information, reviewing data and documentation to identify key risks, opportunities, and investment considerations
• Prepare clear, high-quality client deliverables, including due diligence reports, presentations, and decision-making materials
• Engage with clients and project stakeholders through meetings, workshops, and site visits, contributing insights throughout the assignment
• Support business and team development by contributing to proposals, market research, sector knowledge, and continuous improvement initiatives Does this role inspire you? We're looking for someone who enjoys working with clients and multidisciplinary teams on diverse projects. We also value:
• Degree-qualified in Engineering or another relevant technical or infrastructure-related discipline
• 3–6 years’ professional experience in infrastructure advisory, consulting, project delivery, or technical and commercial due diligence
• Experience in at least one relevant infrastructure sector, such as transport, social infrastructure, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, or data centres
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical and commercial information and translate findings into clear reports and presentations
• Fluent in Italian and English, with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and the confidence to work effectively in multidisciplinary and client-facing teams Why Arup? In Italy, the gross annual salary (RAL) for this role is €45,000 to €52,550, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the CCNL Terziario (Confcommercio).
