About The Company
Hercle is a fast-growing fintech building institutional-grade infrastructure that bridges fiat, stablecoins, and digital assets, enabling cross-border payments and banking infrastructure for global trade. Serving over 200 clients globally, Hercle provides banks, brokers, payment service providers, fintechs, commodity traders, corporate treasuries, and other NBFIs with seamless solutions for cross-border payments and treasury management.

About The Role
This is a front-office, client-facing role in our Institutional Sales team and a launch pad for a career in institutional sales across payments and digital assets. From day one you will sit with senior sales leads, join client calls and own real parts of the sales process. It is not a back-office or administrative internship. You will learn how institutional clients move money across borders, how an OTC desk prices and settles, and how a regulated company takes a client from first email to live trading. Based in Milan, you will work closely with the sales, trading, product and operations teams. How We Work Hercle is mission-driven team built by people who come from Tier 1 banks, trading firms and fintechs. We hold ourselves to a very high standard of professionalism: clients trust us with their money and their regulatory exposure, so precision, responsiveness and ownership are non-negotiable. We value people who are organised, who follow through without being chased, and who want to grow fast in an environment where excellence is the baseline, not the exception.

Key Responsibilities
Inbound management and lead qualification
• Monitor and triage inbound requests, and help qualify them against Hercle's ideal customer profiles (PSPs, exchanges, consumer apps with emerging-market presence, EU-established financial entities).
• Research each prospect before the first contact (business model, corridors, licences, likely volumes) and prepare a concise briefing for the call.
• Schedule and help prepare introductory calls, take structured notes and follow up on next steps.
• Support prospects through onboarding together with Sales, Compliance and Operations, tracking documents and milestones until they go live.
• Keep the CRM (Attio) accurate and up to date at all times. Outbound prospecting
• Build targeted prospect lists of small and mid-sized PSPs, remittance players and fintechs in our priority corridors.
• Run outreach sequences by email and LinkedIn and book qualified meetings for the sales team. New meetings and new logos are tracked KPIs for this role too.
• Track competitor moves and market news and share a short weekly market-intelligence digest. Sales support and organisation
• Support senior sales with contract preparation (master agreements, pricing schedules, annexes) under supervision.
• Act as a day-to-day connector between senior sales, Revenue Ops and middle/back office, while staying close to the client.
• Help automate repetitive tasks: templates, CRM workflows, reporting, AI tools.
• Prepare presentations, one-pagers, proposals and RFP/RFI materials. Requirements
• Proficient professional English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• A recent or upcoming degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering or a related field, ideally from a top university. No prior work experience is required.
• Genuine interest in payments, fintech, FX or digital assets, and the curiosity to learn the mechanics quickly.
• Fluent Italian; French or Spanish is a plus.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail; you are reliable and you follow through.
• Confident communication and a professional, polished attitude with clients.
• Strong command of PowerPoint/Google Slides and AI tools workflow is mandatory. Nice to have
• Any previous internship in financial services (a bank, broker, trading desk, payments company or fintech) and a natural broker mindset: proactive, commercially curious and quick on your feet.
• Exposure to CRMs, no-code automation or AI productivity tools.
• Understanding of stablecoins and blockchain basics.
