MODEL BASED DESIGN ENGINEER
What You’ll Be Doing
The main responsibility of your role is to design the control algorithms that manage the thermal components, the hydraulic components, and the cooling components that are the core part of our professional cooking, washing, and chilling appliances.
Moreover, you will be involved in the overall system analysis, you will be in charge of the modelling of the behaviour of the system for simulation and validation purposes, you will be involved in the test definition of the features that are under your responsibility, and you will be responsible for delivering the code implementations of the functionalities developed by you.
You will be part of the Model Based Desing Team that delivers their modules exploiting the Model Based Design Approach. Specifically, system modelling, rapid control prototyping, simulation, and automated code generation are the steps that will be requested to you to manage the development process.
As part of MBD Team it will be requested you to collaborate with Firmware/Software Team, with Validation Laboratory, and with System Engineers.
You will be requested to follow the procedures that are shared among the different teams with attention to follow defined project processes/guidelines/checklists and ensure process conformance, to contribute effectively in the continuous improvement of the project, team, and work environment by submitting improvement proposals, to raise flags pro-actively for any issue that can impact the project or team, to communicate professionally and autonomously with the internal customers and the team members, to execute project so that timing, investments, cost, quality and performance are delivered according to specification, and to ensure that new products, concepts, modules developed are in line with the architectures and MBD strategy.
What’s Needed For You To Thrive
Master’s Degree in Mechatronics or in Automation Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
Good Knowledge of control theory and state machine design
Knowledge of system identification theory and physical domains modelling
Good knowledge in MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow development tools
Knowledge of model-based design methodology with automatic code generation
Familiarity with heating and cooling processes is a plus
Good knowledge about software engineering (requirement, design, development, verification and validation)
Knowledge in C and C++ languages.
Self-motivated
Have good interpersonal and cross-cultural skills at all levels
