ALITE is a photonics company based in Turin, developing advanced laser systems and optical technologies for industrial and emerging applications.
We are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of our next generation of laser systems and photonic technologies.
The role combines the improvement of existing products with the development of new solutions. You will work closely with our laser, optical and firmware engineers, with direct involvement in the design, prototyping, testing and integration of complete systems.
What you will work on
Your main activities will include:
• design and development of electronic control systems for high-power laser sources;
• optimisation and redesign of the control electronics of our existing laser platforms;
• design of analogue and digital electronic circuits, including signal conditioning, sensor interfaces, power management and control functions;
• selection and integration of electronic components, sensors, actuators and communication interfaces;
• development of electronics for new R&D projects;
• integration of electronics, firmware, optical and opto-mechanical subsystems;
• PCB design, prototyping, debugging and testing;
• support to system integration, laboratory validation and field testing;
• preparation of technical documentation and contribution to the industrialisation of new products. What we are looking for We are looking for someone with:
• a Master's degree or PhD in Electronic Engineering or a related field;
• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in electronic design and development;
• good knowledge of analogue and digital electronics;
• experience in schematic design and PCB development;
• experience with microcontrollers and embedded electronic systems;
• familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and electronic debugging;
• ability to work across different engineering disciplines and solve practical technical problems;
• good command of English.
• Experience with laser systems, photonics, motion control, real-time control, power electronics or high-power systems would be an advantage, but is not mandatory. The person we are looking for We are looking for an engineer who enjoys building things that have not been built before. You should be comfortable working in a small engineering team, taking responsibility for your designs and following them from the initial concept to a working prototype. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced researchers and engineers while having a direct impact on the development of ALITE's future products and technologies.
