Madrigal Pharmaceuticals seeks a Medical Science Liaison or Senior MSL to build scientific partnerships with healthcare professionals across Northwest Italy, focusing on metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). The role involves evidence-based scientific exchange, engagement with thought leaders and clinical centers, and support for disease education and clinical trial activities.
Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals in NAFLD/NASH fields
Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchange on disease landscape, mode-of-action, and clinical data with thought leaders and HCPs
Represent company at scientific congresses and professional society meetings
Collaborate with internal teams to share regional insights and support commercial and clinical strategies
Deliver scientific training and support speaker training, advisory boards, and external inquiries
Requirements
3+ years medical field experience as MSL or similar role
Advanced degree in healthcare, science, or life sciences (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, DNP, PA-C)
Hepatology, Gastroenterology, or fatty liver disease experience strongly preferred
Working knowledge of regulatory, HTA, and NAFLD/NASH disease management preferred
Fluent in English and local Italian language
Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office and CRM tools
Willingness to travel internationally
Compensation:
MSL: €62,000–€76,000 annual; Senior MSL: €78,000–€96,000 annual, plus performance-based bonus and equity
