This is a general application for new graduates who want to start their career at Eight Sleep in Milan. We don't always have the perfect role posted at the perfect moment - but we're always looking for exceptional people. We hire new grads across the company: software engineering (mobile, backend, web), firmware and hardware, data and machine learning, product and design, operations, growth, and marketing. In your application, tell us which area excites you most - or make the case for something we haven't thought of.
Whatever the function, the deal is the same: you'll own real work from day one. You won't be shadowing. You'll be shipping work that reaches members in over 30 countries, side by side with some of the best talent in the world, and learning from them every day. We're looking for hungry, proactive new graduates at the start of their career who treat their work like a craft, hold a high bar for quality, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
How you'll contribute
Own real projects from your first weeks, from first draft or prototype to shipped result - no busywork, no waiting your turn
Move across the boundaries of your role: work with engineers, designers, operators, and marketers to get things over the line
Use AI tools to move faster: prototype quickly, automate the boring parts, and raise the bar on what one person can ship
Own problems, not just tickets: dig into the data, find the root cause, and follow through until the fix is live
Keep the quality bar high in everything you touch, from the details members see to the processes behind them
Bring ideas, not just execution: if you see a better way to do something, make the case and build it
What you need to succeed
Graduated in the last 12 months or graduating soon, with a strong academic record in your field
Evidence of initiative: side projects, open-source contributions, hackathon wins, a startup you tried, a club you ran - anything you built or led because you couldn't not do it
A high bar for quality: you notice the details others miss and you're not satisfied with "good enough"
Comfort using AI in your daily workflow: you use tools like Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT to work faster and better, and you know when to trust them and when not to
A fast learner who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and asks for responsibility, not permission
English fluency
Legal permit to work in the EU and willingness to work from Milan
