EFI is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our Business Unit in Comun Nuovo (BG), Italy.
To strengthen the EFI Reggiani Service Team within our traditional textile printing division, we are looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented Field Service Engineer. The ideal candidate should be based in the Bergamo area and have a strong passion for engineering, troubleshooting, and servicing complex electromechanical equipment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
This position requires extensive travel throughout Europe and to customer sites worldwide.
Provide end-to-end technical support to our global customer base.
Provide on-site technical support for our inkjet and conventional textile printers.
Support trade shows and exhibitions, including machine setup and calibration, demonstrations, and tear-down activities.
Deliver end-user training at operator level.
Provide technical feedback and recommendations to the Italian R&D and Service teams.
Job Requirements
Technical degree or equivalent experience in Mechatronics (mechanical and electrical) or a related technical field.
Knowledge of textile printing products and chemical processes is considered an advantage.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Strong interest in computer technology and machine calibration.
Knowledge of basic electronic skills.
Experience in commissioning industrial machinery is considered a strong advantage.
Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Windows operating systems is required.
Strong communication skills, customer focus, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Availability to travel extensively, often at short notice. The candidate must be available to travel abroad for periods of 2 to 4 consecutive weeks, for approximately 6 to 8 months per year.
