Within its Embedded Systems Business Unit, TXT e-Tech is seeking an Avionics Software Engineer to support the software certification activities of a safety-critical embedded applications for aerospace applications, in compliance with DO-178C requirements. The selected candidate will work alongside a team of experts on the development, verification, and documentation of software certification artifacts for embedded systems.Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and verification of safety-critical embedded software for aerospace applications.
- Support the preparation of DO-178C certification documentation (Software Development Plans, Software Verification Plans, Software Requirements and Traceability Matrices).
- Define software requirements (both functional and detailed low-level requirements) ensuring adherence to applicable standards.
- Support requirements analysis and coverage assessment for software certification.
- Develop and execute component and integration tests for embedded software.
- Contribute to software verification through static and dynamic analysis.
- Review and assess the impact of existing certification artifacts to identify reuse opportunities.
- Basic knowledge of software development for real-time embedded systems.
- Familiarity with embedded software architectures and low-level firmware.
- Proficiency in at least one structured programming language (preferably C, C++, or Python).
- Experience with static analysis tools, unit testing frameworks, or debugging on embedded platforms.
- Experience with at least one of the following architectures: Intel® Tiger Lake x86/64-bit processor, NXP Layerscape, Xilinx Zynq, Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC.
- Basic knowledge of Intel® Boot Guard, Intel® Firmware Support Package (FSP), the Multiboot2 standard, and Trusted Platform Module (TPM).
- Familiarity with cryptography and security concepts for embedded systems.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with DO-178C software certification principles.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
- Structured, detail-oriented approach to work.
- Good command of written and spoken English for technical documentation and reporting.
