Saipem Offshore Construction (SOC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Saipem S.p.A. SOC brings together all operational activities in Italy related to fabrication, technical services, maintenance, and logistics, providing essential support for the execution of offshore construction and offshore wind projects.

Purpose of the position: As 2nd Offshore Construction Shift Supervisor, you will be part of the Asset Base Service, supporting the safe and efficient execution of offshore construction activities during your assigned shift. You will assist the Offshore Construction Supervisor in coordinating vessel operations, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, project requirements, and operational procedures while contributing to the successful delivery of offshore campaigns.

How can you support us?

  • Coordinate offshore personnel, subcontractors, and vessel departments to maintain operational continuity and productivity.
  • Support and supervise offshore construction activities during assigned shifts, ensuring safe and efficient execution of operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Company HSE policies, procedures, permit‑to‑work systems, and client requirements.
  • Monitor progress of offshore activities, reporting operational issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement to the Offshore Construction Supervisor.

Contribute to shift handovers, daily reporting, toolbox talks, and operational planning to ensure effective communication and execution.

What are we looking for?

Education: Preferably with technical High School Diploma or civil, mechanical, electrical or naval engineering background

Background: Minimum 3 years of experience in marine operations, subsea installation, or vessel operations, with previous exposure to supervisory or lead positions.

Technical/IT Knowledge:

  • Risk Assessment and Toolbox Talk methodologies
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

What else should you know?

The position is offshore‑based and operates on a rotational schedule. Worldwide assignments and international travel is required depending on project and vessel operational needs. Availability to work in multicultural environments and challenging offshore conditions is essential.

What we can offer to you:

  • For overseas contract (onshore e offshore): Basic Pay not lower than 43.000€ plus overseas allowances
  • Location: Offshore
