CR/030852Job Type: ContractLocation: RemoteJob Reference No.: CR/030852We are seeking an experienced Senior VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise private and hybrid cloud platforms. This role requires a hands-on architect with deep VMware expertise, capable of shaping cloud strategy, driving infrastructure transformation, and providing technical leadership across complex programmes.*Please note, this is a 6-month extendable contract, and we're looking for fluent Italian-speakers.*
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) solutions.
* Define cloud strategies, target architectures, and technology roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
* Design and implement solutions across vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, Aria Suite, HCX, and Tanzu.
* Drive platform automation and standardisation using Terraform, Ansible, PowerCLI, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
* Provide technical leadership, governance, and architectural oversight throughout project lifecycles.
* Support cloud transformation, data centre modernisation, and workload migration initiatives.
* Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions.
* Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.Required
Experience:
* Extensive experience designing and delivering VMware Cloud Foundation environments within large enterprise organisations.
* Strong expertise in VCF, vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, Aria Suite, and enterprise virtualisation technologies.
* Proven experience with private cloud, hybrid cloud, and infrastructure transformation programmes.
* Solid understanding of networking, storage, disaster recovery, and security best practices.
* Experience integrating VMware platforms with Azure VMware Solution (AVS), VMware Cloud on AWS, or other cloud services.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.Desirable Skills & Certifications:* VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP, VCF Specialist, or VCDX.
* TOGAF or other architecture certifications.
* Experience with Kubernetes, Tanzu, and cloud-native technologies.
* Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms.What We're Looking For: A technically strong architect who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, drive cloud adoption initiatives, and provide leadership across complex VMware environments while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and operationally efficient.
