Start Date: ASAP – October 2026
Working Model: Hybrid
Are you an experienced Supply Chain leader looking to play a key role in the rapidly evolving space industry?
We’re working with an innovative organisation at the forefront of satellite technology, seeking a Head of Supply Chain to take ownership of the entire supply chain lifecycle supporting the development and manufacturing of advanced satellite systems.
This is an opportunity to work at the heart of complex engineering and production operations, ensuring that everything from raw materials and critical components to fully integrated satellite subsystems moves seamlessly through the manufacturing process.
The Role
As Head of Supply Chain, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and optimising the end-to-end flow of materials, components and finished products.
Working closely with engineering, production and quality teams, you’ll ensure materials are available, inspected, stored and delivered efficiently to support demanding satellite manufacturing programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full supply chain lifecycle, from supplier coordination and incoming materials through to final product delivery.
- Oversee the movement of raw materials, components and complete units across internal inventory and external suppliers.
- Coordinate material inspections, quality checks and compliance with manufacturing requirements.
- Manage warehousing, inventory control, logistics operations and the storage and delivery of finished goods.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to support the integration of complex components and satellite subsystems.
- Support production planning activities, ensuring critical materials are available to meet manufacturing timelines.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, material traceability and overall supply chain performance.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior Supply Chain, Materials Management, Logistics or Manufacturing Operations position.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end material flows within a complex engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing inventory, warehousing, inspections, logistics and supplier coordination.
- Background in aerospace, space, defence, or advanced technical manufacturing.
- Experience collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and quality assurance teams.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Fluent Italian communication skills.
- Availability to work full-time onsite in San Mauro Torinese.
- Previous involvement in satellite manufacturing, spacecraft systems or aerospace programmes.
- Experience working with complex technical components and subsystem integration.
- Knowledge of production planning, ERP/MRP systems and material requirements planning.
- Familiarity with highly regulated manufacturing environments and component traceability.
- Previous experience with organisations such as Thales Alenia Space, Leonardo, Airbus or Telespazio.
Why Consider This Opportunity
This is more than a traditional supply chain position.
You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of a critical operational function within an innovative satellite manufacturing environment, working alongside highly skilled engineering and technical teams.
You’ll benefit from:
- Exposure to cutting-edge satellite and space technology.
- A high-impact leadership position with end-to-end operational responsibility.
- The opportunity to contribute directly to the development and delivery of next-generation satellite systems.
Interested?
If you have a strong background in supply chain leadership and want to apply your expertise within the space industry, we’d be keen to hear from you.
