About the Opportunity

This opportunity is for experienced Music Producers, Audio Engineers, and Mixing Engineers to evaluate generative music AI models in partnership with a leading AI lab.

You'll assess AI-generated music, lyrics, vocals, and production quality across a wide range of genres while working in Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Compare AI-generated songs based on musicality, creativity, prompt adherence, vocal quality, and production/mix quality.
• Label songs by genre, structure, instruments, vocals, and other musical characteristics.
• Review AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality and accuracy.
• Provide structured evaluations to help improve generative music AI systems.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Music Producer, Audio Engineer, or Mixing Engineer.
• Native or near-native Italian proficiency.
• Ability to follow detailed written instructions in English.
• Headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal training in music performance, theory, or composition.
• Credited or commercially released production, engineering, or mixing work.
• Broad familiarity with contemporary Italian genres, sub-genres, and artists.
• Experience with AI evaluation or data annotation is a plus.

Compensation

• Competitive compensation of $20–$36/hour.
• Hourly contract engagement.
• Fully remote opportunity.
• Flexible work arrangement based on project requirements.
• Project duration of up to 6 months.
• Most experts work around 20 hours per week, with no cap.
• If the pay structure changes to per-task, the effective hourly rate will remain the same.
