pOur client is a well-established European investment firm with a long track record of backing companies that drive resource efficiency and environmental sustainability. Its sustainable private credit strategy applies that same conviction and sector expertise to the debt markets, providing flexible financing solutions to sustainability-focused businesses across Europe. As the firm prepares to raise its second private credit fund, it is expanding the team and looking for a Director to lead and grow origination in Italy/ Southern Europe. The role can be based in either Milan or London. /p h3Role Profile: /h3 pYou will be the face of the platform in Italy/ Southern Europe, responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing high-quality investment opportunities. You will: /p ul liOriginate and develop a strong pipeline of private credit opportunities across Italy and Southern Europe, leveraging and expanding your network of sponsors, advisors, banks, corporates and entrepreneurs /li liBuild and maintain relationships with private equity sponsors, family-owned businesses and intermediaries to position the firm as a preferred financing partner /li liLead deal structuring, due diligence, negotiation and execution, working closely with the wider investment team /li liCollaborate with in-house sector specialists to identify and assess opportunities aligned with the firm's sustainability thesis /li liContribute to the strategic development of the platform and support investor engagement ahead of and during the fundraising /li liMentor and develop junior team members as the team grows /li /ul h3Candidate Profile: /h3 ul liSignificant experience in private credit, direct lending, leveraged finance, mezzanine or a related field at Director level or equivalent /li liA proven origination track record and a strong, active network in the European mid-market /li liDeep understanding of credit structuring, documentation and risk assessment /li liGenuine interest in sustainability and the ability to engage credibly with entrepreneurs and management teams in the sector /li liEntrepreneurial mindset, comfortable building a franchise in a growing platform /li liFluent in Italian and English; additional European languages are a plus /li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the gravitas to represent the firm externally /li /ul h3Why this opportunity? /h3 ul liA respected brand in sustainable investing with a clear, differentiated thesis /li liThe chance to play a pivotal role at a formative stage of a growing credit platform, with real visibility ahead of the second fund /li liA collaborative, international team, direct access to senior leadership and route to Partnership in years ahead /li liCompetitive compensation, including meaningful long-term incentives /li /ul #J-18808-Ljbffr
