Noninvasive Brain-Targeted Nanoparticles for Fragile X

The project aims to develop innovative nanomedicine-based strategies for the delivery of therapeutic molecules to the brain for the treatment of neurological disorders, including Fragile X Syndrome. The candidate will be involved in the preparation and characterization of nanoparticles, the optimization of their physicochemical properties, and evaluation of their interactions with cellular models and in vitro systems that recapitulate the blood-brain barrier with different levels of complexity.
